How long does temp mail last?

"Temp mail" is a category, not one product. 10 Minute Mail lasts about ten minutes with an extend button. Guerrilla Mail keeps mail for roughly an hour. YOPmail inboxes can persist for days because the addresses are fixed and reusable. Each picks a different balance between convenience and how long a public address stays readable.

Longer lifetimes are handy when you have to wait for a link, but they also mean a public inbox stays open to anyone who knows the address for longer. Shorter lifetimes limit that exposure.

Here the timer is five minutes. That is enough for the vast majority of verification codes, which arrive within seconds. When the countdown reaches zero, the address stops receiving mail and everything in the inbox is permanently deleted — there is no extend button and no recovery.

If a site is slow and your five minutes run out, simply generate a new address from this page and request the code again. It is deliberately short so leftover mail never accumulates on a public address.

Request the verification email only after the address appears and you have pasted it correctly, so the whole exchange happens inside the window. Keep this tab open and watch the inbox rather than navigating away.

Do not use a short-lived address for anything you might need later — password resets, account recovery, or receipts you want to keep. Once it expires, that mail is unreachable.
