What is a disposable email?
Disposable email (sometimes called a DEA, throwaway email, or burner email) is an address that is not tied to your identity. You use it once — or for a few minutes — then it expires so follow-up newsletters never reach your real inbox.
On Temporary Email the disposable email address is random. It is public for as long as it lives: if someone else learns the string, they can read the same mail. Use it for codes and gatekeeping forms, not for private conversations.
When a disposable email address helps
Forums, whitepapers, trial signups, and “continue with email” walls often only need a working mailbox for one message. A disposable email address gets you through without adding the sender to your everyday inbox.
It is a poor fit if you must log in again later from the same address, or if the site blocks known disposable domains. If a form rejects the address, try a fresh inbox or a different service — blocking is common in this category.
