What temp mail does protect
The address above is generated at random and is not linked to your name or your everyday inbox. When a site only wants an email to send one code, a temporary address lets you finish the step without adding yourself to their marketing list or exposing the mailbox you actually use.
Because the inbox is deleted after five minutes, there is nothing left to leak, sell, or breach afterwards. For low-stakes signups, that is a real privacy win over handing out a personal Gmail or Outlook address.
What it does not hide
