How it works for Discord signup

This keeps your real inbox free of Discord notifications and reduces the personal data attached to a throwaway or secondary account.
Important limits to know first
The inbox lasts five minutes and cannot be recovered. If you verify with a disposable address and later need to reset the password, confirm a new device, or recover the account, that mail will go to an address that no longer exists — and you will be locked out.
Discord may also require phone verification for some actions, joining certain servers, or if its systems flag the account. A temporary email does nothing for phone checks, and Discord actively discourages disposable addresses, so a signup can still be rejected or later restricted.
Use it only for throwaway accounts
A temporary email suits a burner or one-time Discord account you do not mind losing. For an account you actually care about, use a real mailbox you control so you can always receive resets and security notices.
If the confirmation does not arrive, check the address is correct, wait a few seconds, and note that Discord may be blocking the disposable domain — in which case any temporary address will fail the same way.
